The Ford lineup is filled with great options that are perfect for any situation. If you need a truck, they have the F-150, if you need a sports car, they have the Mustang, and if you need an SUV, they have the Explorer. That is an oversimplification of an impressive lineup, but though there are many SUV options available from Ford, the Explorer remains the most popular option.

Features and options of the 2021 Ford Explorer

The lineup for the Explorer begins with the base trim and moves up from there with the XLT, the Limited, the ST, and the top Platinum trim. Most of these trim levels come standard with rear-wheel drive, but all have four-wheel drive available, and the ST and Platinum trim include it standard.

There are a lot of engine options at play with the Explorer as with most Ford models. The standard engine is a powerful 2.3-liter EcoBoost powerplant that can output 300 horsepower. The XLT offers the same engine, but above that, the Limited trim can come with the same 2.3-liter engine or a 3.3-liter V6 engine that also outputs up to 300 horsepower. The ST trim is a performance-oriented option that includes an exclusive 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine that can output up to 400 horsepower. The top trim gets a more subdued 3.0-liter V6 engine that provides up to 365 horsepower.

Not only does getting a Ford mean you get to enjoy a lot of power, but you also get to enjoy a lot of available options including a twin-panel moonroof, a 10.1-inch portrait display touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, wireless charging, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and seating for up to 7.
